How to prevent gray mold of kidney bean in greenhouse

Botrytis cinerea is a serious hazard when cultivating kidney beans in protected areas such as greenhouses. First, moire spots begin to appear about 15 cm upward from the rhizome, dark brown around, and light brown to light yellow in the middle of the spots. When dry, the skin of the lesions is cracked and fibrous, and when wet, a layer of Mucor gray mold occurs on the lesions. Branches become infected, forming small stains, depressions, and then wilting.

Prevention measures. Because Botrytis cinerea infects quickly, has a long incubation period, and the bacteria are prone to drug resistance, it is difficult to control. It is best to adopt comprehensive control measures that combine agricultural control and chemical control. Strengthen environmental regulation under greenhouse conditions, apply water and fertilizer in a timely manner, strengthen ventilation and dehumidification, and keep the temperature appropriate. Timely spraying of 500 times new high-fat film solution is beneficial to control the occurrence and expansion of diseases. Remove diseased leaves and pods manually in time, take them out of the shed, destroy them thoroughly, and bury them deeply. When sporadic diseased leaves appear, spraying should be started. Use the new high-fat film 500 times liquid to spray with targeted fungicides, once every 5 to 7 days, and spray 2 to 3 times.
