What is polycarbonate board (PC sunshine board)
Polycarbonate board, PC board for short, is also called PC sunshine board and PC endurance board. It is mainly manufactured from polycarbonate polymer through extrusion processing.
Polycarbonate board has the advantages of high light transmittance, high impact resistance, light weight, good sound insulation, strong weather resistance, good flame retardancy, and UV resistance. It is a high-tech, extremely excellent comprehensive performance, energy-saving and environmentally-friendly plastic sheet.
Compared with ordinary glass, the light transmittance of polycarbonate sheet can reach 89%, and the impact strength is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass.
Anti-ultraviolet (UV) coating and anti-condensation treatment make it integrate anti-ultraviolet, heat-insulation and anti-fogging functions, which can block ultraviolet rays from passing through, protect valuable artworks and exhibits from damage by ultraviolet rays.
The specific gravity is only half that of the glass, and the light weight feature can save the cost of transportation, handling, installation and support frame.
The polycarbonate sheet meets the national standard of non-flammable B grade, has a high self-ignition point, and self-extinguishes after leaving the fire. It will not produce toxic gas during combustion and will not promote the spread of the fire.
The thickness of polycarbonate board is generally 0.8cm, 1.0cm, 1.2cm, 1.5cm, 2.0cm, 2.5cm, 3.0cm-30cm.
Commonly used structures are rice-shaped hollow board, double-layer, three-layer, four-layer grid hollow board and honeycomb hollow board. Suitable hollow structural plates can be selected according to different parts of use and functional requirements.
The colors are transparent, milky white, lake blue, grass green, brown, red, black, yellow, etc. The color specifications can be customized according to the requirements of use.
Polycarbonate sheets can reflect different transparency and differences in transparency, so that the sense of space, atmosphere, light effect and privacy can have corresponding formulas.
