There are many skills for growing flowers in plastic greenhouses

Plastic greenhouses provide the possibility for off-season cultivation and exotic cultivation of different flowers.

However, on a clear day, the temperature inside the shed can be 15~25°C higher than that outside the shed; and at night, the temperature inside the shed is only about 2~4°C higher than that outside the shed. The large fluctuations in temperature difference and the growth characteristics of flowers determine the diversity of techniques for growing flowers in plastic greenhouses.

There are many skills for growing flowers in plastic greenhouses

1. Overwintering cultivation and management of dormant flowers. Potted camellias, rhododendrons, brown bamboos, gardenias, Hanxiao, Midinghong, etc. can be safely overwintered in a dormant state as long as they are cultivated in the Yangtze River Basin with a little protection. , Sunny day. Pay attention to ventilation and exhaust, so as to avoid the high temperature of the shed and break the dormant period of flowers. After breaking the dormancy period, the flowers enter the growth state, the cold resistance and disease resistance are greatly reduced, and frost damage is very easy to occur. If you want to induce flowers and make the flowering period earlier, you can use the method of warming up to break the dormancy.

2. Cultivation and management of flowers in winter or early spring. When early spring flowers such as jasmine, cineraria, pupa, calla lily, and cyclamen are overwintering, the temperature in the shed should be kept at 15-20°C during the day and around 5'C at night. When the temperature in the shed is too high, it should be ventilated in time; when it is too low, it should be heated by means of flue kang or burning liquefied petroleum gas.

In the evening, cover the grass in time to ensure that the shed temperature cannot be lower than 0°C in the coldest "March 9" season.

3. Overwintering cultivation and management of high temperature flowers. Cactus, pineapple, tropical orchid, variegated tree, dracaena and other temperature-loving flowers should be covered with multiple layers of insulation during winter, and the temperature should be properly increased. A small arch can be built in a plastic greenhouse, and flowers can be placed in the small arch to overwinter.

To thicken the wall, use grass thatch to cover the surrounding area, cover the outside of the greenhouse with double-layer grass thatch, and use greenhouse reflective curtains to increase temperature and keep warm inside the greenhouse. Note that the distance between the two-layer film of the small arch shed and the greenhouse should be adjusted. According to the measurement, the "thermal insulation effect" is the best when the distance between the double-layer plastic films is about 10 cm. The thermoelectric method and the boiler flue method can be used to increase the temperature in the shed. On a sunny day, when the temperature in the shed reaches above 25°C, ventilation and exhaust should be done in time to avoid injury.

4, according to the flower conditions, classified management. Different flower species have different physiological needs.

To meet the physiological and growth needs of different flowers, they should be placed at room temperature, by area, and by type. The same species, the same type of flowers are placed in the same greenhouse, the same area is in a greenhouse, the south has good lighting, strong light, high temperature, and flowers that like temperature and light can be placed on the south side of the greenhouse; the north side can be placed in the greenhouse. The light is weak and the temperature is low, so dormant flowers should be placed on the north side.

5. Control the greenhouse for safe wintering. The air humidity in the greenhouse is high, and the temperature difference between day and night is large.

Excessive temperature and humidity can lead to the occurrence of fungal diseases of flowers, such as black spot, powdery mildew, etc.

If the humidity is too low, the flowers may wilt, and the phenomenon of sunburn and leaf curl may occur. Therefore, it is necessary to control the temperature and humidity, and properly water and fertilize. Such as dormant flowers, stop fertilizing, control watering, make them "see dry and wet", and timely ventilate and strengthen seedlings to promote safe wintering of plants and bloom at the right time.
