Causes and Prevention of Acute Shrinkage of Greenhouse Vegetables

Sudden acute atrophy of some cucumber plants in vegetable greenhouses is a physiological disease. The reasons for this are: first, continuous cloudy rain or sudden clear weather after snow, resulting in rapid wilting and dead seedlings caused by temperature inversion; High temperature, large air volume, fast leaf surface transpiration, some plants with poor root development begin to shrink, and severe dehydration causes the whole plant to wither; the third is that the concentration of fertilizer is too high, especially when the fertilizer is applied near the root neck of the cucumber, it is easy to Burn dead seedlings. In order to prevent acute atrophy of cucumber, the following measures should be taken:

Causes and Prevention of Acute Shrinkage of Greenhouse Vegetables

Glass Greenhouse Project

1. Water according to the time of the seedlings. The root system of cucumber is relatively developed, but it is mostly concentrated on the soil surface. In order to promote root growth and avoid watering mistakes to inhibit the growth of root groups, one is to water less water for planting; Irrigate once to prevent the melon seedlings from being burned by excessive fertilization at one time; fourth, it is advisable to water in the morning on a sunny day; fifth, it is not suitable to irrigate the whole shed on rainy days;

Second, scientifically control the temperature of the shed. Keep 25-30°C in the shed during the day, and keep it at 12-15°C at night, not lower than 10°C. First, it can prevent the occurrence of diseases; second, it can prevent plant aging; third, it can supplement Co. However, the temperature regulation must be conducive to the growth of cucumbers. Generally, ventilation is performed when the temperature rises to 30°C during the day, and the shed film is closed when the temperature drops to 28°C in the afternoon. The nighttime temperature during the fruiting period should not be lower than 12°C.

Third, strengthen the protection of greenhouses. One is to check whether the shed film is damaged or the cover is exposed every day, and attention should be paid to repairs to keep warm and increase temperature; the other is to cover the grass and vines and lock the ropes before the strong wind cools down, so as to prevent the melon seedlings from being damaged by the film.
